In Norse Mythology, the prophecy of Ragnarök foretold an apocalypse if ever the primeval worlds of Ice and Fire met. In the abyss of Ginnungagap (‘The Gap’) between the worlds the Princes of the elements let ambition challenge that lore.
They unleash that ambition with epic battles with their enemies and kin, and here, in Mythos: Ragnarök, those battles are gloriously realised with stunts from professional wrestlers!
Led with relish by Ed Gamester as Loki, this show is a hell of a lot of unique fun. It’s full of grunts, flips and sweat yet still somehow manages to tell a complex and compelling tale.
There’s always a clear level-up in passion when it’s home-grown. In this case fully produced by Gamester, who’s gone from selling everything he owns to filling an audience at Ally Pally. He’s succeeded in doing something new in a thespian world of safe and same, marrying theatre and wrestling while maintaining the attraction of both.
Here you can expect storytelling through convincing performances alongside perfectly hammy wrestling tropes. It’s thrilling and has built up a fan base thanks to being appropriate for teens and managing to bring a lesser known art to the forefront.

There are some challenges for such a unique show in such a range of venues – lines were lost and marks were missed (thankfully no painful ones) – though it also embraces this with stunts taking place all over the stairs and alleys, complete with winces from the audience as surely that’s gotta hurt.
Mythos: Ragnarök started its UK Tour with three thumping nights at the iconic Alexandra Palace, before moving on to many corners of England and a most probably sold out Edinburgh Fringe run. Get your tix.
